This morning we wrapped up our specialty training with victories at KAA in “seven on seven” football and basketball. These K-2 kids put their hearts out on the field every day. I’m so proud of them!
This afternoon we celebrated the “Bill Lantz Memorial Pentathlon” with every cabin competing in a race commemorating the early days of Kanakuk with running, canoeing, swimming, chins, and archery. The girls cabins dressed up alike in “tie dye” and other creative ensembles. For the boys to be able to find two socks that matched was considered a major victory.
Tonight was Final Campfire and a challenge to decide “who is going to paint the canvas of my life”…peers, media, or God. It was a beautiful evening.
Parents day has arrived. We’re sad to see it end. Everyone agrees, our 85th summer was by far our best. To God be the glory!
